All throughout the Bible, there have been times where great men and women who have obeyed God and it changed nations.
God told Noah to build an ark, because there was going to be a great flood that would wipe out life on Earth. Noah built the ark in obedience to God. God filled the ark up with a male and a female of every creature on the Earth. Noah wanted other people to be safe from the flood and so he told them. However, Everyone laughed at Noah and said he was crazy for believing that there would be a flood, because they lived in a desert. When the day came, the boat was sealed and no one could get on. So, the Earth flooded like God had said and everything was wiped out except everyone on the ark. If Noah had not obeyed God and built the ark, his family would have died and all the animals too.
Moses was a murderer who was told by God to go to Pharaoh and tell him to let the Israelites go. Moses went and did as told. Pharaoh refused and God sent a plague upon the people. God protected the Israelites from the plague and afterwards Pharaoh still didn't listen to Moses. God was using Moses to tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites go to the promise land. Plague after plague Pharaoh didn't listen to God and his people suffered for it. Finally, he obeyed and let them go. Moses led them away, but Pharaoh went back on his word and chased after them. Moses and the Israelites were stuck at the Red Sea with Pharaoh and his army coming after them. God told Moses to raise his staff and Moses obeyed. The water parted and the Israelites were able to walk across dry land and get to the other side. Pharaoh followed them, but the water came down on him and his army killing him. If Moses had not obeyed God, The Israelites wouldn't have been saved from slavery.
Also, God told Mary that she would become pregnant with a child and she became so. She told her fiance Joseph and he was ready to secretly disown her. However, God told him not to and Joseph took her as his wife. After the baby was born, God told Joseph to pick up his family because king Herod wanted to kill the child. So, Joseph obeyed and the child was saved from being slaughtered with the other babies. If Joseph hadn't obeyed God, Jesus might not have lived.
God is the God of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. He never changes and is always constant. He always keeps his promises and loves each of us dearly. It is important to obey him, because he knows what will happen and when. Sometimes it can be hard, but we must press on and keep believing and obeying.
